HBO recently announced the release of another volume of Catch The Throne. The second installment will feature some big names, such as Snoop Dogg, Anthrax and Talib Kweli, as well as reggaeton superstar Yandel, according to Pitchfork.com.
Yandel announced the good news via Instagram last month when he posted a photo posing with a Funko Pop! Figure from their Game of Thrones collection. The caption read: "The royal rhymes are near. I’m recording a song for the mixtape #CatchTheThrone: Vol. II." He added a hashtag with the name of his song: #MarcandoTerritorio.
Yandel spoke with People En Español about the inclusion on Catch The Throne. "For me, it was a tremendous experience having the opportunity to create music using the show's perspective," he said.
“With [“Marcando Territorio”], I wanted to tell a bit of my life story and my career while using aspects of the [TV] series,” he added. Catch The Throne: Vol 2. hits iTunes on March 24.
Yesterday, the Puerto Rican musician also announced a production with HBO via social media. HBO Latino Concerts joined Yandel during his stop in Old San Juan on his successful Legacy Tour, capturing the stage performance as well as what goes on behind the scenes.
The special, Yandel: Legacy, De Lider A Leyenda Tour, will air on April 10 at 8 p.m. EST on HBO Latino.
