So what did the Cuban songstress have to say about the role? She shared exclusively with Latina.com that while she didn't get to choose her role, the character came after studying Naya Rivera, who plays Santana.

“I could feel my cheeks getting flushed, I hope he didn’t notice,” says Selena Gomez in this Funny or Die video, where she meets a house painter named Carl Blue. Gomez’s inner-monologue is hilarious and spot-on, giving author E.L. James a run for her money.
