'Pele' Biopic Casts Diego Boneta & Rodrigo Santoro

Retired Brazilian soccer player, Pele, is known as a legend in the sport! Now, Imagine Entertainment and Seine Pictures are coming together to tell his story.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pele will chronicle the soccer legend's rise from the slums of Sao Paolo to leading Brazil to its first World Cup victory in 1958, when he was but 17-years-old.

Diego Boneta and Rodrigo Santoro have both been tapped to participate in the biopic.

Boneta will play Jose, Pele's arch rival, who was responsible for giving him the nickname "Pele" when they were children. Santoro will associate produce the film, but his role in Pele, is being kept a secret for now.

Filming has already begun on location in Brazil.
