It was hard to tell from Demi Lovato’s glowing presence at last night’s taping of the Do Something Awards that the young starlet has had a turbulent year. The 18-year-old former Disney princess, who was admitted into rehab last fall for emotional and physical issues, looked radiant in a form-fitting silver and white dress when she arrived on the red carpet.
Lovato also performed at the awards ceremony, which celebrates young people 25 and younger who actively pursue causes that make the world a better place. The singer changed into a sparkly light beige dress for her first live performance since her release from rehab, singing the emotional single "Skyscraper" off of her new album, Unbroken. The album is set for release on September 20.
The 2011 Do Something Awards will air on VH1 this Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
