Tweets may be flying in cyber abyss 24 hours a day, but Demi Lovato is pulling the plug on her account.
This week, the “Skyscraper” singer announced that she is taking a break from Twitter. Lovato posted the news, ironically, on the social media site, “Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway... BYE!”
According to The Daily Mail, the 19-year-old pop star is known for posting exactly what’s on her mind on a daily basis. She has made controversial comments involving her former employer Disney, religious beliefs, and rumored flame Wilmer Valderrama.
Since her release from rehab, Lovato also shared inspirational comments about staying healthy and overcoming her personal hurdles. During an interview she revealed, “To me, it’s more rewarding for me to speak about these issues and know that I’m possibly making a difference in someone’s life,” she said. “I feel like I’m held more accountable to stay healthy now because now I’m a role model to young girls to not have eating issues and to not say, ‘Hey, it’s okay to starve yourself’ or ‘It’s okay to throw up after your meals.’ That’s not okay.”
