When the nominees for MTV's 2013 Video Music Awards Best Latino Artist category were announced, we were excited to see who would be taking home the Moonman. But on the night of the VMAs, a winner was never crowned.

According to The Huffington Post, the wait is over! Daddy Yankee beat out other great artists such as Pitbull, Don Omar and Alejandro Sanz for the title of Best Latino Artist 2013.

The Boricua reggaeton star has been part of the music industry for 15 years and he is considered one of the most respected and influential artists who has been gaining increasing popularity overseas.

Congratulations to Daddy Yankee on this huge win!
