This can’t be good for Daddy Yankee’s street cred, but other reggaetoneros should be jealous anyway. Harvard University, the elite institution that counts Natalie Portman, Conan O’Brien and Barack Obama among its alumni, has invited El Cangrí, along with America’s Next Top Model Season 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez, to their campus this Saturday. The university’s Latino student organization, Presencia Latina, will present Yankee with a Latino of the Year Award for creating his Corazón Guerrero Foundation for high-risk youth, as well as for “ganing a new level of recognition for the musical genre known as reggaeton.” (Whether Harvard students are actually familiar with said genre is unclear.) Gonzalez, who is currently the face of Liz Clairborne's “Love Is Not Abuse” campaign,” will be presented with the Latino Rising Star Award “for representing the ambition and beauty of the Latino community.”

Here’s hoping the boricua stars stay close to the Presencia Latina folks while they're on campus…Ivy League frat parties are not a good look! Take it from us.
