Cris Judd Talks Being Married to J.Lo: "It Was Very Intrusive"

Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, Cris Judd, is coming clean about his marriage and divorce from the diva.

According to The Huffington Post, in 2000, Judd, a dancer, received a call that would change his life forever. He had been hired as a back-up dancer for JLo’s music video “Love Don’t Cost A Thing.”

Judd claims he was head-over-heels for the boricua the moment he saw her.

“When Jennifer walks in, I shake her hand and we kinda look at each other -- and in my head, I’m like ‘Oh my God, I’m going to marry this woman,” Judd says in an episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now?

The dancer admits the couple was forced to keep their blossoming relationship out of the public eye, due to their fear of paparazzi and tabloid coverage. “Whenever we would leave a place, we would leave separately,” he says. The two didn’t go public with their romance until they were seen at the Oscars in 2001. “It was bedlam. I’ve never seen so many people concentrated in one place, especially cameras. I knew she was there to do a job, and so I was just that guy who was just by her side.”

Several months later, they were married on Sept. 21, 2001 in a secret ceremony. Unfortunately, the paparazzi found out about the nuptials, and pursued the groom on his way to the ceremony. “It’s dangerous. It sucks. It’s not fun. It’s very intrusive,” he says. “And who would want that? No one wants that.”
