Christina Aguilera is all about family!

The Voice judge is Redbook magazine's November cover star, and she dished about everything from her decision to leave the NBC competition show to the importance of family time.

"If I have to choose between working out and spending time with my son after a hard day, it's not even a question," Aguilera told Redbook of her 5-year-old Max Liron.

Last month, the singer mentioned that chasing after her little boy is a work out in itself. "Running around with him all day is pretty good exercise," she said.

During her interview with Redbook, Aguilera discussed the driving force behind her decision to take a break from The Voice, and it appears little Max was also a huge factor.

"I needed to decompress, wind down the clock and just breathe," she explained. "I needed to find out who I am outside of that red chair. We did three seasons, and I wanted to disengage and have my life back and be with my son—put my sweatpants on and wipe my makeup off."
