They say true love lasts forever.
While that statement may or may not be true, one thing is certain: tattoos stick around...long after the love is gone. These celebrities prove that there’s no more permanent way to say “Te Amo” than by inking it onto your body:

Justin Bieber made the extremely questionable decision to tattoo the face of his beloved ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, onto his lower left arm. In an interview with GQ, he revealed that he attempted to cover it up with some clever shading. Unfortunately, it now looks worse than ever. No wonder he felt the need to write an entire sorry apologizing to the girl.
Christina Milian made her love for Lil Wayne official — with a very permanent gesture! The singer and actress tatted "Love Hard...TNT" onto her arm. TNT, which Milian previously shaved onto her head, stands for "Tina 'n Tunechi", and it has become the unofficial motto of the couple. Lil Wayne even gave his boo a bracelet bearing the abbreviation!

The Latino crooner tattooed the name “Jennifer” onto his wrist as a tribute to his then-wife, Jennifer Lopez. After they split, he inked over the tattoo with a picture a Statue of Liberty. According to Anthony, the tattoo was a tribute to his then-girlfriend, Shannon de Lima, whom he called “my statue of peace.” Well...they’re no longer together either! Oh, Marc, when will you learn?
At one time, the Devious Maids producer boasted three tributes to ex-husband Tony Parker! She tattooed his jersey number onto the back of her neck, his initials onto an undisclosed location, and their wedding date on her wrist. It appears that Longoria has officially severed all ties to the San Antonio Spurs star -- she had all three tattoos removed!
Selena Gomez had the Roman numerals “LXXVI” tattooed on the back of her neck. Gomez reportedly got the ink as a tribute to her mamá, who was born in 1976!
The Mexican-American designer has a pair of ballerina slippers tattooed onto her lower hip. The tat is a tribute to the song “Ballerina Girl", which was written about her by her father Lionel Richie! Now, that’s a creative way to show some love for papá!

Bailon reportedly had the tattoo removed following their split.

You could watch all the documentaries, you can watch J.Lo playing Selena, but at the end of the day, these little tidbits of information from hanging out with somebody that knew her and that had a very special connection [to her] is just so cool.”
