We thought these two would be best friends forever, but unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, who’ve been friends for over a decade, hit a rough patch earlier this month. Allegedly, Lovato tweeted an abrasive message directed at Gomez, “Swimming away from the bullshit bye bitch.” The "Really Don't Care" singer then unfollowed her former bestie on the social media platform. Yikes.
These two teen stars solidly established themselves as Disney Channel's bad girls (I mean Joe Jonas did admit that the twosome exposed him to weed for the first time.) But, apparently their bond didn't outlive their teenage years. In early March, they both unfollowed each other on Twitter.
Back in the day, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato would make adorable YouTube videos showing off their awesome friendship and goofy sense of humor. Miley Cyrus posted another video mocking the twosome -- and well, it went down.
But, as the girls got older, they got over the drama -- or at least we thought they had. It seems Miley Cyrus still isn't over her feud with Gomez. In June 2014, she performed on stage in Milan with a cardboard cutout of Gomez, and belted out the lyrics to her song "FU."
These two have been feuding for so long, it's hard to remember how it even began. Apparently, back when the two pop divas were members of Timbiriche, a misunderstanding over a microphone stirred Paulina Rubio and Thalia to a fist fight on stage. The audience responded by taking sides -- half rooting for Thalia, and half rooting for La Chica Dorada.
However, back in 2010, a more mature Rubio told reporters that their decades-long feud was finally over. "I'm making peace with Thali, even though people should know that we really haven't had problems with each other for a while. Thalia and I were best friends from the age of 11 to 15, we were always together," she said.
Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton were the best of friends. The two celebrity children even took their unbelievable friendship to the small screen, starring in the absurdly popular reality TV series The Simple Life.
No one knows why the two besties drifted apart, but it was clear there was tension when Richie failed to invite Hilton to her winter-themed wedding ceremony in 2010. Ouch.
This story is straight out of a novela.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump and her best friend and houseguest, Cedric Martinez, hit a rough patch when he overstayed his welcome at her estate. Allegedly, Martinez threatened to blackmail Vanderpump and her husband and sell their "story" if they kicked him out of the house. After threats of violence, the couple finally racked up the nerve to kick him out of their mansion and onto the streets.
More drama for Selena!
Gomez and Kendall and Kylie Jenner were best of friends earlier this year... until the threesome got into a spat involving Justin Bieber. Reportedly, Kylie Jenner went on a date with Bieber -- causing Gomez to end the friendship in a fit of jealousy. Who knows what really happened, but one thing is certain: Gomez unfollowed both of the Jenners on Instagram shortly after their trip to Coachella, and hasn't been spotted with them since.
Divas Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera have been sharing the spotlight their whole lives. First, they were Mouseketeers together. Then, they debuted their hit albums within a year of one another. Finally, they competed for ratings as judges on The X Factor and The Voice, respectively.
Although there's still a bit of a playful rivalry between the stars, the two ladies have settled their differences. "I always wish her all the best," Aguilera told The Daily Mail in 2008.
It's fair to say that Charlie Sheen alienated a good portion of the American population during 2011, when drug (and ego) problems caused the actor to say and do some pretty ridiculous things. However, Chuck Lorre, the creator and writer of Two and a Half Men, was especially offended by some of Sheen's remarks.
"I've spent, I think, close to the last decade, I don't know, effortlessly and magically converted your tin cans into pure gold," Sheen said of Lorre. "And the gratitude I get is this charlatan chose not to do his job, which is to write."
Shortly afterward, Lorre fired Sheen from the popular sitcom and replaced him with Ashton Kutcher.
During season two of The Jersey Shore, a physical altercation began between Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Jenni "JWoww" Farley after Sammi discovered that JWoww and bestie, Snooki, were the authors of an anonymous note that revealed her boyfriend had cheated on her. JWoww and Snooki forged the note because they were too scared to tell Sammi in person.
A heated exchange began between JWoww and Sammi, and they soon began throwing punches. The fight only ended when Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino stepped in.
JWoww later spoke about the incident, telling Sirius radio that the catfight was the one thing she regretted about the show.
