Bruno Mars is a lot of things: the mega-talented singer of the hit songs "Just the Way You Are," and "Grenade," a seasoned music producer, and the talented songwriter behind such hits as "Nothin' on You," "Billionaire," and "Forget You." With a resume like that, you'd think Bruno would be someone we can easily look up to — unfortunately, he doesn't want us to.
"I'm not gonna preach that I'm a role model," Mars, 25, says in the April issue of GQ magazine, adding, "I'm a fu**king musician!"
Still, the half-Puerto Rican Mars, who was busted for cocaine possession at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last September, says he knows it's important to stay out of trouble for the sake of his career. "I've learned people are watching," he says. "So don't do nothing stupid."
