We were so excited about the news of Penelope and Javier’s baby boy, that it got us thinking: Just how do you grow up in a house where EVERYONE is famous?
Take a look through our family album of the famous families as we anxiously await news of Nick and Mariah’s little ones…
1. Celeb Babies: Antonio Banderas/Melanie Griffith
Parents: Antonio Banderas & Melanie Griffith
Kids: Daughter, Stella del Carmen Banderas
Parenting Style: Stella! Melanie Griffith has three children, but only one of them, Stella Banderas, had an intense childhood that included seeing her mother through rehab in April of 2010. “The whole family took part, Stella included," said Banderas at the time. "I was there three times a week at a stretch, and we participated in group therapy with our daughter. It strengthened our relationship in many ways." We will say this about Melanie and Antonio: they stick together through good times & bad and their daughter is lucky to have parents who care enough to work hard to overcome their issues.
2. Celeb Babies: Jennifer Lopez/Marc Anthony
Parents: Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony
Kids: Twins Emme and Max
Paenting Style: J.Lo and Mark believe babies are cheaper by the dozen. Recently, La Lopez told Ellen DeGeneres that she's so in love with being a mom that she’d be “extremely happy” if she got pregnant again. As for Marc, we're sure he'd be equally thrilled. According to J.Lo, their twins think their daddy is the funniest guy in the universe!
3. Celeb Babies: Gloria Estefan/Emilio Estefan
Parents: Emilio and Gloria Estefan
Kids: Son, Nayib, daughter, Emily
Parenting Style: If there's one lesson Gloria and Emilio Estefan have taught their children by example, it's the value of sacrifice. After Nayib was born, Emilio stopped touring with the Miami Sound Machine so that at least one parent would be home at all times, allowing Gloria's burgeoning career to continue soaring.
4. Celeb Babies: Diego Luna/Camila Sodi
Parents: Diego Luna & Camila Sodi
Kids: Son, Jerónimo, Daughter, Fiona
Parenting Style: Although Diego vowed to love Camila more than anyone when the two married in 2008, that may have changed when his son Jeronimo came into the world. The proud dad who calls fatherhood "amazing," once said of fatherhood: "It's a love that people tell you about. You read about it. You think you know what it is. You think you know how it's going to feel. And then, phew, when it happens, you realize there's no way to predict this. It's so unique, so perfect."
5. Celeb Babies: Gisele Bundchen/Tom Brady
Gisele Bundchen & Tom Brady
Kids: Son, Benjamin
Parenting Style: Gisele has been outspoken about a lot of aspects of motherhood—including breast feeding—and it has gotten her in some trouble. Basically, she thinks we should all do it—famous breasts or not.
6. Celeb Babies: Nicole Richie/Joel Madden
Parents: Nicole Richie & Joel Madden
Kids: Daughter Harlow, son Sparrow
Parenting Style: As the daughter of a major Hollywood celebrity (Lionel Richie), Nicole has special insight into what it's like to grow up in the limelight and is reportedly raising the children with discipline. She is also raising the kids with organic everything—even diapers. She's got a great handle on motherhood!
7. Celeb Babies: La La Vazquez/Carmelo Anthony
Parents: La La Vazquez and Carmelo Anthony
Kids: Son, Kiyan
Parenting Style: Carmelo is on the road a lot with the Denver Nuggets, so La La's approach to parenting is very hands on. She once said of being a mom: 'I raise my son and I don't hand him off to somebody else to raise him, so not having my son be a part of it would be a lie to the audience. He's involved in everything I do." La La says balancing work and motherhood isn't easy, but it's also not impossible. "It's all about managing your schedule and moving things around, just like any other working parent would do."
8. Celeb Babies: Benjamin Bratt/Talisa Soto
Parents: Benjamin Bratt & Talisa Soto
Kids: Daughter, Sophia Rosalinda Bratt, Son, Mateo Bravery Bratt
Parenting Style: As parents, Benjamin Bratt and his gorgeous wife, Talisa Soto are great listeners. In April of last year, Talisa told People.com about the conversations she has with her two children. "Honestly, they're at this incredible stage where what comes out of their mouths is such a joy," Talisa said. "I can sit down and have conversations with them. "[I love] to see their perspective on things – just to be with them and see what they have to say about the world, what they see."
