Aubrey Plaza likes girls and guys.
The Parks and Rec star revealed to The Advocate that she identifies as a bisexual.
“I know I have an androgynous thing going on, and there’s something masculine about my energy. Girls are into me — that’s no secret,” Plaza told The Advocate. “Hey, I’m into them too. I fall in love with girls and guys.”
The Puerto Rican actress said that growing up, she felt that she was meant to be “an older gay man," and always had a very tight-knit relationship with the LGBT community.
“All my friends were gay," recalled Plaza. I went to an all-girls Catholic school in a very conservative neighborhood, but I felt at 12, 13 that my home was this theater and that those were my people.”
Aside from her theater friends, Plaza also came from a family that was very supportive on anyone's sexual orientation. She also mentioned that her bisexuality may run in her family
“[They’ve] always been very open,” she continued of her upbringing. “I have a gay aunt and a gay uncle. … My younger sister is a lesbian, so it’s just in my blood, I guess,” she shared. “She came out to me when she was 17 or 18, and for, like, a millisecond I was surprised. Then I replayed our entire life in my mind, and I was like, ‘Of course! Of course I know that!’”
