Ariana was born Ariana Grande-Butera on June 26, 1993 in Boca Raton, FL to Joan Grande and Edward Butera. She has an older brother named Frankie who is also an actor.
She adores Mariah Carey!
As a huge fan of Mariah, being compared to the songstress is probably one of the biggest honors Ariana could have ever pictured for herself. "I love Mariah Carey," Ariana told NeonLimelight.com during an interview. "She is literally my favorite human being on the planet. And of course Whitney [Houston] as well. As far as vocal influences go, Whitney and Mariah pretty much cover it."
She looks up to Fergie!
During an interview, Ariana revealed her admiration for Fergie. "I love Fergie," she said. "She's just so fun and passionate. I love that she raps as well. Like she has a fantastic voice and she can belt G's and A's and she doesn't have to do it all the time. She just has swag and I think that's really cool."
She entered the world of acting five years ago!
It was 2008 when Ariana made her acting debut as Charlotte in the Broadway musical 13. From 2010 to 2013, she starred as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon hit series Victorious. In 2010, she also created the original role of Miriam in the reading for the musical, Cuba Libre. She now plays Cat on Nickelodeon's Victorious, iCarly spinoff Sam & Cat.
She was once buen amigas with Victoria Justice!
Ariana and Victoria met on the set of Victorious, and for a while were very good friends. But in February of this year, the two gorgeous actresses/singers grew apart, following what many reported as an online feud over their now canceled show.
