Are You Ready for First Lady Sofia Vergara?

We may be seeing Sofia Vergara in the political arena in the future. The Colombian actress’ boyfriend, Nick Loeb, is reportedly considering a 2012 run for the Florida U.S. Senate seat.  At this past weekend’s premiere of The Smurfs in New York, the Emmy-nominated 39-year-old said,  “I don’t know if it will happen, but I’m really excited for him.”

“If he decides to do it, I think he will be amazing," Vergara added. "My boyfriend is very inclined to politics and that's his passion.”

In 2009, Loeb ran for the Florida state Senate but dropped out to deal with a divorce.  If Vergara’s boyfriend officially launches a bid, the Modern Family star said she would help him.  “I support him with everything,” she said.  “If that's what he wants to do in his life, I will be there for him.”
