The time is rapidly approaching for us to finally see Ricky Martin do his thing on Broadway!

As we’ve been reporting for months now, our gorgeous February 2012 cover model will star in the highly anticipated musical Evita, which will begin its previews on March 12. 

We did a little more digging, then realized Martin isn’t alone on Broadway. There are other Latino stars who have pranced around stage and sang their hearts out recently and otherr who, like Martin, are ready to hit the stage this spring.

In his February 2012 cover story, Ricky Martin told Latina that 2012 will be a “magical year.” The Boricua superstar will play Che alongside Argentinean performer Elena Roger in Evita, which centers on the life of the late Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentinian president Juan Perón and a larger-than-life political figure. 

“The people, the critics, are going to be expecting a lot,” the 40-year-old said. “It has to be the best… You have to have the attitude that, ‘You know what? No one will stop me.'
