32 Latino Stars You Never Knew Were Related!

There’s no denying that the manzana doesn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to some of the brightest stars in the entertainment world. From the Iglesias’to the Cruz’s, some of the Latino community’s most famous celebrities have proven there’s a lot of talent in the family, with brothers, sisters, parents and more making their own mark en el mundo del espectáculo.

Here’s a look at 32 Latino celebs you never knew were related!

1. Family: Genesis Rodriguez & El Puma

Since her big screen debut in last summer’s action thriller Man on a Ledge, Génesis Rodríguez has been taking Hollywood by storm. The former telenovela actress has since starred opposite some of the industry’s titans, including Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Last Stand), Will Ferrell (Casa de Mi Padre) and Jennifer Lopez (What to Expect When You’re Expecting). But entertaining audiences runs in Rodriguez’s blood. She’s the daughter of Venezuelan actor/singer José Luis Rodríguez. Commonly known as "El Puma,” Génesis’ dad has recorded several international super hits, starred in telenovelas and serves as a coach and mentor on the Argentine version of The Voice.

2. Family: Andy Garcia & Dominik Garcia-Lorido

It’s a case of art imitating life… Dominik García-Lorido, one of the stars of Starz’s Miami-based television drama Magic City, got her big break in 2005's The Lost City, a film directed by her real-life father Andy García, who just so happened to portray her character’s dad in the film. García-Lorido credits the experience with reinforcing her desire to act professionally and also work with her father more.

3. Family: Marieh, Majandra Delfino

Marieh Delfino and Majandra Delfino could be called the hottest imports from Venezuela. The sisters with sizzling looks, both born in Caracas to a Cuban mother and Venezuelan father, have each managed to carve out their place in Hollywood. Marieh, the older of the two, starred in the 2003 horror film Jeepers Creepers 2 and will return for the third film in the series, Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral. Meanwhile, Majandra is best known for her role as Maria DeLuca on Roswell and Georgia's (Raven-Symoné) best friend on ABC Family’s short-lived State of Georgia.

4. Family: Eva Longoria & Gia Lopez

It’s no surprise that Eva Longoria and Mario Lopez are best friends. The Extra host was in Longoria’s wedding; and the Desperate Housewives star was present at Lopez and Courtney Mazza’s Mexican beach-nuptials last December. But there’s a reason Longoria held the couple’s daughter (and flower girl) Gia Francesca Lopez close to her heart during the ceremony: Longoria is Gia’s godmother!

5. Family: Lily & Emilio Estefan

If Lili Estefan and Emilio Estefan hosted a show, it would be called El Productor y la Flaca. And the show would be a family affair. Lily, a co-host on Univision’s El Gordo y la Flaca is the niece of Emilio, the Cuban-American musician and producer (and husband to Gloria Estefan).

Call them the Sin City sisters! Makenzie Vega has had a high-profile role on CBSThe Good Wife since 2009. But four years later, the 18-year-old half-Colombian American actress appeared in Robert Rodriguez’s crime thriller Sin City, playing a young Nancy Callahan while Jessica Alba portrayed the older version of the iconic character. Meanwhile, Makenzie’s big sister Alexa Vega, best known for her role as Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids film series has signed on to star in the Rodriguez-directed sequel to the cult classic, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

7. Family: Lauren & Lorraine Velez

Talk about double vision! Dexter’s Lauren Vélez, who say her seven year stint on the show end with a bullet, did not star in the 2001 biopic Piñero. That was actually the Puerto Rican actress’ twin sister Loraine Vélez, who recently starred in a new stage production of Porgy and Bess in London’s West End. Growing up in New York City, las gemelas enjoyed setting up improvised plays and acting for the family. After graduating high school, they both received scholarships to attend The Alvin Ailey Dancing School and studied acting at the Actors Studio. Lauren landed her first job performing in the national touring company of the musical Dreamgirls, where Loraine would often step in for her sister.

Telenovela legend Sylvia Pasquel is part of a long line of famous entertainers in her family, including one lady who can really rock: Alejandra Guzmán. The 63-year-Mexican actress and the 44-year-old Latin Grammy-winning singer/actress – known as the “Queen of Rock” in Latin America – share the same mother, Mexican screen legend Silvia Pinal, who rose to fame during the golden age of Mexican cinema in the 1950s.

Talk about a Modern Family. Sofia isn’t the only Vergara in Hollywood. The Colombian bombshell, who recently earned her third consecutive SAG Award, is the cousin and adopted sister of Fright Night star Sandra. Her mother was the sister of Sofia's mother. When she was only a month old, Sandra was adopted by her aunt, due to her mother's failing health. So should Sofia decide to pass the torch one day, she’s got a lady-in-waiting right in the family tree!

The stunning Alice Braga, who starred opposite Will Smith in I Am Legend and recently appeared in Walter Salles’ On The Road, has a just-as-striking actress for an aunt, Sônia Braga. The Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated Brazilian Bombshell has appeared in numerous films during her illustrious career, including Kiss of the Spider Woman. It’s good to see that Sônia, who has no children of her own, has someone to fill her stilettos in Hollywood.

His older sister Raini Rodriguez has a growing list of television and film credits, including impressive roles in Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Prom, as well as a main role on the Disney Channel’s original series Austin & Ally. And Raini recently recorded the theme song for Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta! in English and Spanish.

In recent years Dosamantes has worked in the United States in order to be near her daughter, with both Susana and Paulina now living in Miami. The two even appeared together in a special Got Milk? advertisement in2010.

In 2006, Shaila released Recordando, an album dedicated to her mother. It went straight to No. 1 in Spain and went platinum in only its second week.

During the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Mónica even served as a stand-in for long distance scenes featuring her pregnant sister. But there’s another Cruz in the entertainment world, Eduardo Cruz. The hunky singer made headlines for more than his music when he dated Eva Longoria for about a year before splitting in March, but not before escorting her to the Kim Kardashian/Kris Humphries wedding.
