In August, Jennifer was photographed by Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino for the September issue of Vanity Fair. In her first interview since announcing her split from hubby Marc Anthony, La Lopez opened up to the mag about what caused the breakup, saying that though she remains positive when it comes to love, she learned certain things about herself that made her walk away from her marriage to Anthony. "To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself—if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now," she said.

But before the singer launched into "Until It Beats No More," she stopped for a moment and mused, "A lot has changed since then," referring to her split from hubby Marc Anthony in July. A sobbing J.lo on stage prompted people to wonder if the Puerto Rican diva was crying over her ex-husband, but days later Lopez told Extra reporter Maria Menounos that she sobbed on stage because she saw her mother, Guadalupe in the audience.
