The actress/singer picked up an ALMA Award for Favorite Movie Actress Supporting Role for her portrayal of Ansiedad in Girl in Progress, her first leading role in a major motion picture. The critically acclaimed performance as a rebellious daughter in the coming of age story led to a recurring role on ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, as well as her casting in Jennifer Lopez’s new television project The Fosters.
