The British supermodel and champion Blackberry-thrower has been stepping out with a Latin billionaire, vacationing with Shakira, and practically moved to Brazil in an effort to join our club. But no matter how long Naomi marinates herself in latinidad, she must pass our rigorous audit before we can give her Honorary Latina status.

When it comes to Fergie, there’s always been an unresolved question in Latinas’ minds—is she, or isn’t she, one of us? The multi-platinum-selling solo artist is frequently said to be of mixed ethnicity, and she explained it this way herself to the The Independent in 2007: “My heritage is a complete mixture that includes Irish, Scottish and Mexican strains, and I don't feel tied to any one culture.” Hmm…can you say confusing?

Is someone out there listening to our prayers? A new rumor has surfaced that Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem are going to get married this year, and we're hoping it's true! The couple, who have been discreetly dating since last year, are being encouraged to walk down the aisle by Javier's mother, Pilar. A source told the National Enquirer: "Pilar took her son aside and told him, 'What's the matter with you? She's perfect! You love her, she loves you. Get married.'"
