A co-worker told me I looked very “emo” today. I had no idea what that word meant. It was explained to me this way: Like Brandon Flowers from the band The Killers is all “emo” with his black guy liner and “emotive” rock lyrics. Emo. I got it. So I guess since I'm wearing skinny black jeans, a loose gray tank, a necklace and dirty-looking hair, I'm like an alternative (whatever that means today), cool rocker chic. I took it as a compliment.
