The 2017 Golden Globes went off without a hitch.

Golden Globes 2017: Ryan Gosling Dedicates His Win to Eva Mendes, Their Daughters & Her Late Brother

Jimmy Fallon opened up the show with a beautiful musical sequence featuring stars from our favorite shows like Stranger Things, The People v. OJ: American Crime Story, Game of Thrones and much more. One of the best moments during the award show came from Ryan Gosling. The actor outdid himself when he won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical, or Comedy for La La Land and decided to dedicate the award to his leading lady Eva Mendes

“If she hadn’t taken all of that on so I could have this experience it would surely be someone else up here other than me,” he said. “Sweetheart, thank you and to my daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, I love you.”

Diego Luna took everyone by surprise when he took the stage alongside Felcitiy Jones to present an award and did most of it in Spanish. The Internet was praising him for doing it and so are we. This was an amazing moment that goes to show just how much Hollywood is really changing. Meryl Streep received the Cecil B. DeMille award tonight and she made a speech asking everyone to be accountable for their actions in this time that we are in and even threw direct shots at president-elect Donald Trump.
