Evita Nominated for Tony Award: Best Musical Revival

Don’t cry for Evita. The musical, starring Ricky Martin and Elena Roger, is up for a Tony Award for “best musical revival.” It will be up against Follies, The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, and Jesus Christ Superstar. The musical is also up for "best choreography."

Michael Cerveris, who plays Juan Peron, is also nominated for his role in Evita. He’s up for “best performance by an actor in a featured role in a musical.” And while Martin and Roger aren’t up for awards (which some consider huge snubs), the musical seems to be doing pretty darn well for itself.

The 66^th annual Tony Awards will be broadcast live Sunday, June 10^th at 8/7c on CBS.
