This season, Custo Barcelona's collection was inspired by Beauty & The Beast. Though not the Disney rendition, the famed Spanish designer's focus was sexy and full of fluidity, aka the beauty. Yet, it also had a hardness of sorts, the beast. We saw a collection full of textures, short dresses and winter coats with intricate sleeve details, sporty sweatshirts with feminine design details that were all complimented with a hair look created by Duffy for Oribe.
Duffy created an architectural braid as a parting, and used Maximista by Oribe to create a really hard texture and finish through the head shape. He then used the dry texturizing spray to deconstruct the ends as they sat on the shoulders, drawing emphasis back onto the collection's architectural shoulder detailing. Duffy recommends that Latinas with a more textured hair type or curl use a pomade to replica this look versus the Maximista.
