Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are making us proud! The former Disney stars were honored this week for their humanitarian service.

Just Jared reports that the two best friends hit the red carpet at unite4:good and Variety's unite4:humanity Gala on February 27 in Culver City, Calif.

Gomez, 21, was presented the Young Visionary Award for her work with UNICEF, while Demi, also 21, received the Young Luminary Award.

While accepting her award, Gomez gave a special shout-out to her longtime bestie. "The fact that we're here at 21-years-old, and we've always talked about using our voice to help this generation...Sometimes, I feel like we're the only ones holding the fort," she said. "And I'm so thankful for [Lovato] to inspire me everyday. I hope that we can completely inspire this generation to focus on what's really important."

Both honorees couldn't help but take to social media to share their enthusiasm with fans. Gomez shared a photo of her award and wrote, "By far the coolest award I've received -Young humanitarian award! Beyond proud to respresent UNICEF since I was 17."

Lovato, meanwhile, couldn't help but be excited about meeting a former president! And who can blame her? She posted an incredible selfie with Bill Clinton at the awards gala and wrote "Too excited to filter this... NO BIG DEAL - #Selfieswiththeprez..."

Congrats to both Selena and Demi on their well-deserved honors!
