It Gets Better Project
In Ocotober 2010, Perez became involved with the anti-bullying campaign It Gets Better Project. Perez posted a YouTube video in conjunction with the project apologizing bullying celebrities via the malicious tone on his website. He promised to change up his site, even if it meant losing readership. Bravo!
In 2011, Perez published a children's book titled The Boy With Pink Hair. He admits the book was inspired by his own childhood and was written in hopes that it would make a difference to those who were feeling excluded and desired to belong.
Perez recently became involved with a campaign called Pedarazzi. It's a no kids policy campaign where celebrities are pushing websites and publications to stop publishing photos of children which have been taken by paparazzi. As a participant in this campaign, Perez no longer publishes such baby pictures on his blog.
