Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have been friends for years - through thick and thick and multiple Justin Bieber breakups. Sources speculated that the friendship was over for good after Gomez reunited with Bieber earlier this year, but now Swift is speaking out about her rock-solid relationship with the 21-year-old singer and actress.
"It's been the longest [friendship] I think either of us had really," Swift, 24, told E! News. "When your life changes and you become thrust into this really strange whirlwind where what your life is is different from what people think your life is. And your life is commented on and your life is written about and fictionalized and all that. Both of us have kind of stuck it out and hung in there through all the changes we've gone through."
"Longevity is something you really can find very precious and rare in friendships," Swift added.
Speculation that the two were fighting was squashed for good when the two were spotted dancing at the 2014 Met Ball in an Instagram video uploaded by Gomez. The famous pair spun through the halls of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in gorgeous couture gowns as "Volare" by Frank Sinatra played in the background.
