Wow. Selena Gomez secretly went to rehab earlier this year, her rep confirms to E! News.
A representative for the 21-year-old star told E! and Radar Online that "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse."
Dawn At The Meadows is an Arizona recovery facility that treats young people for "trauma, addiction, or dual diagnosis concerns." Reports claim that she entered the facility to be treated for "exhaustion" on January 5 and completed a two-week stint.
The singer cancelled the Australian and Asian leg of her tour in December, with unconfirmed reports saying that the star suffered from lupus. At the time, Gomez's released a statement saying, "My fans are so important to me, and I would never want to disappoint them. But, it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting work first, I need to spend some time on myself to be the best person I can be. To my fans, I sincerely apologize and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me."
