Selena Gomez Breaks Silence After Rehab: “Thank You For the Unconditional Love”

Selena Gomez has finally broken her silence following a shocking revelation that she had completed a two-week rehab program earlier this year. The 21-year-old addressed the revelation for the first time on her Instagram, posting a picture holding a red drink, smiling, and enjoying herself on a boat ride in pristine blue waters.

“I’ve done everything I could to the best of my ability,” she wrote. “Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me.”

The actress and singer was admitted to Arizona’s Dawn of the Meadows on Jan. 5. According to E! Online, the singer then flew to Utah to promote her flick Rudderless at Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 20.

Gomez’s longtime best friend Demi Lovato, 21, has also battled substance abuse and eating disorders in the past. The singer spoke out in support of her bestie during a recent E! News interview. “I’ve known her for 14 years, and we’ve been best friends. That’s all of her business, and I just want to let her do her thing. And yeah, she’s amazing. I love her.”

We’re glad to see Selena looking so healthy! Stay strong, chica!
