Ryan Murphy Confirms Naya Rivera Is Coming Back To 'Glee' Next Year

So, is she or isn't she?

Over the past several weeks, Glee fans have patiently waited for news on whether or not Naya Rivera would be returning for a sixth season of the show. Rumors circulated that Rivera, who plays Santana, was fired from the series after an off-screen feud with co-star Lea Michele resulted in one of the stars storming off set.

Tuesday night's fifth season finale only seemed to confirm those rumors. Rivera did not appear in the episode, because her character flew to Iowa to shoot a yeast infection commercial. Sounds pretty suspicious, right?

However, co-executive producer Ryan Murphy set the record straight, telling reporters that the rumors are absolutely untrue.

"I always marvel at the things that become headline news that most of the time are completely fabricated," he told Extra on Tuesday. "I don't think there is a story between Naya and Lea. Naya's coming back next year, Lea's coming back next year -- anybody ever in that cast has an open invitation to come back and finish the character they so beautifully started."

What do you think? Are you excited to see Naya Rivera return to Glee
