They grow up so fast!
Madonna's daughter, Lourdes Leon, is graduating from New York City's LaGuardia High School, and the 17-year-old took to her Material Girl blog to reflect on the last four years. The teenager talked about her fear of the future, and even admitted to some unfortunate fashion decisions.
"Looking back... means looking back on unfortunate outfits I wore confidently to school (good for me)," the fashion designer wrote. "Oh, how I wish I could go back in time and urge my 14-year-old self NOT to wear black rhinestone studded t-shirts with bloody skulls on them..."
Leon, like most teenagers, now looks forward to three months of freedom and sunny weather. "As summer approaches and as I keep forgetting to shave my legs... I greet with open arms crop tops, Adidas sandles, fun buckets hat and just walking around with no pants on and it being ok," she said.
Despite being the daughter of an international superstar, Leon admits even she's uneasy about what comes next: "I was so excited about 'being done with school' and now that I'm actually done, I'm like clammy and sweating and nervous because... WHAT?!?!"
Leon may suffer from "normal" teenage problems, but she's far from average. This fall, she'll deal with the pressure of starting college and the stress of launching her clothing line, Material Girl, at Macy's.
But for now, the graduating senior wants to forget about business and school -- and simply enjoy her summer vacation. "Wrapping up high school has been pretty hectic," she said. "Words cannot express my excitment to sit in the sun and jam [with] friends."
Congrats, Lourdes! Best of luck!
