An emotional performance on Wednesday night's American Idol left one judge overcome with emotion: Jennifer Lopez.
After hearing finalist Jena Irene perform "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis, the judge sprinted on stage to kiss the 17-year-old singer. "I've never gotten up to kiss somebody on the show," she said, visibly upset. "This the The King, and you reinvented it... I was so moved. I could cry right now. I'm so glad I was there to witness it."
But the moving performance was the only thing that had J.Lo in tears this past week.
Lopez opened up to People about the "tremendous low" she went through after her divorce from Marc Anthony. She revealed to the magazine that although the divorce was traumatic, she "wouldn't change anything [about my past] because it made me who I am."
The 44-year-old superstar, who was married to Anthony for eight years, revealed that the breakup allowed her to "take a look at what was going on" and reevaluate her view of relationships. "As women, we can sometimes give ourselves away. I was certainly guilty of that for some time. Now, I realize I am good on my own, so now I can share my life with somebody."
For two years, Lopez has shared her life with boyfriend, Casper Smart, and her twins, Max and Emme. "I just feel like I went through a real growth spurt as a human being [when I became a mother]. Having my babies allowed me to realize what unconditional love was."
