Got it! So who are some of your biggest Latin musical influences?
Camila: I really like Alejandro Sanz and Luis Miguel just because that’s what I grew up listening to. And David Bisbal, as well. I grew up listening to all of them.
Lauren: For me, I love Marc Anthony a lot. He’s one of my Dad’s favorite artists, and I listened to him a lot growing up. I love Celia Cruz – she was also a huge part of my childhood. She’s an iconic woman.
These are all amazing, amazing people. We hear you’ll be performing at the Radio Disney Music Awards later this month.
Lauren & Camila: Yeah!
That should be lots of fun!
Camila: Yeah and we’re actually nominated for a couple of the Radio Disney Music Awards.
We’re sure all your fans are rooting for you and are all into it.
Camila: Yeah, they’re amazing!
Lauren: They’re all over that.
Awesome! We’re sure you ladies will definitely wind up taking the award home.
Camila: Aw, thanks!
Lauren: Thank you!
Of course! So this summer, in addition to your headline tour, you’ll also be touring with Austin Mahone. Have you been working with him now in preparation?
Camila: This is going to be the first time that we’ll be working with him professionally in that kind of environment. He was on the Jingle Ball tour, so we got to see him every day there too, and we’re all really good friends, so I think it’ll be fun!
He has a song with Pitbull, as we’re sure you know. Do you think a Pitbull/Fifth Harmony collaboration will happen one day?
Camila: That would be so much fun! You never know what the future holds.
Are there any artists besides Pitbull that you dream of working with?
Camila: I think Ed Sheeran would be really, really fun to work with. I think we all have individual influences that we look up to, but I think Ed Sheeran would be a good one.
Lauren: I agree. I think Ed Sheeran would be a great collaboration. I also think something with Demi [Lovato] would be really cool as well.
Oh, yes. For sure! You guys need to make that one happen.
Lauren: Yeah. Or maybe something like out of the box like Big Sean or like something crazy like that. That’d be fun!
Any final words for our readers, and your fans, of course?
Lauren: We just want to thank you guys for your support and just always pushing for us. It’s amazing the support we’ve been able to get from Latinos and just in general from everyone. It’s been an amazing ride and we appreciate the support. I can’t think of another word! [Laughs]. We love you!
