Demi Lovato chatted with Ryan Seacrest about American Idol, her favorite contestants, her loyal fans, and more.
The singer stopped by the singing competition to hang out with mentor Randy Jackson, and she offered critiques and advice to the contestants... without the added pressure of actually judging them.
"I think the contestants are really good. I think everyone has to let lose a little bit, though. I was still waiting for the big hurrah," Lovato told Seacrest in a behind-the-scenes interview for E! News.
The "Neon Lights" singer also revealed her favorite contestant: Jena Irene. "She's really good," she said. "She's a star for sure."
Lovato sat alongside Simon Cowell as a judge on The X Factor for two seasons. When asked if she missed sitting behind the judging desk, Lovato told the host, "Not really."
For now, she's just happy to be on the road, rocking out every night, and engaging with fans. "That's exactly the reason why I don't miss judging right now because being on the road and seeing the faces of my fans, literally face-to-face right in front... it's just so incredible."
