It’s official: Gwen Stefani is taking over the red judges chair on The Voice!

Since rumors first surfaced that Christina Aguilera would be relinquishing her chair, the hit NBC show has refrained from confirming or denying the story. But Aguilera took matters into her own hands and revealed the news via Twitter.

“So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses xoxo #blondesdoitbetter,” she wrote on Twitter

Aguilera, 33, will reportedly take a break from the show to welcome her new daughter with fiancé Matt Rutler. Stefani, 44, will take over for season seven, and Aguilera will return to the line-up for season eight.

Stefani seems excited to take over judging duties on the popular singing competition! She posted a picture on Instagram of her doing the show's signature peace sign while holding the mic. The caption read, “It’s true! gx @nbcthevoice."

Rocker Gwen Stefani isn’t the only new face to join the team. Pharrell Williams will be taking over for CeeLo Green in season seven as well. Veteran judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are both on board for the new season.
