Did you know Latinas are the most likely to be stay-at-home mothers? Well, these ladies have certainly veered away from those ideals and are now being recognized for it!
Shakira, Christina Aguilera, and Salma Hayek are all working mothers who have been named on Working Mother's 50 Most Powerful Moms list. The list declares that "all working mothers are innately powerful" with many "inspiring us to keep striving for bigger and better." The women Working Mother has named are considered 2014's crop of power moms.
This is Aguilera's first time on Working Mother's list. The publication, geared towards working moms, cites Aguilera as "one of the most gifted vocalists of our time." Despite the "Say Something" singer's fame and working as Ambassador Against Hunger for the World Food Programme, for which she's helped raise $22 million, she's an average mom who experiences the same parenting anxieties as the rest of us.
Hayek is also a first-timer on the list, coming in at #21. The Mexican starlet is an actress, producer, activist and beauty entrepreneur, while still managing her role as a mother. Her #1 rule to making it all work? "My rule is that I won't be away from Valentina for more than a week," Hayek told New Beauty magazine.
