Alessandra Ambrosio: "Cosmetic Surgery Freaks Me Out"

To us, Alessandra Ambrosio may seem perfect. But, the Victoria's Secret Angel didn't always feel perfect.
In fact, at age 11, the aspiring model went under the knife in an attempt to pin her ears back.
“I always knew I wanted to be a model, so I decided to have my ears pinned back because they stuck out a bit,” Ambrosio, 32, says in Net-A-Porter Magazine
“I found this doctor in my hometown [of Erechim] in Brazil who had only done it once before, so I was a guinea pig. The first few nights, it felt like someone had cut off my ears. For a year, I had to go back for mini surgeries.”
While doctors have assured the Brazilian beauty that they can correct the botched surgery, Ambrosio is hesitant to go back under the knife. “Cosmetic surgery freak me out. I’m afraid of having anything done.”
In fact, the mother-of-two hasn’t had any plastic surgery since having her ears done. Her rock hard physique is all a product of hard work and dedication. After having her first child, the supermodel claims she gained 60 pounds.
“It was the first time in my life that I had to diet,” she said. “Before I had my kids, if I gained one or two pounds, I would just eat salad and it would be okay.”
We think you look fabulous, Alessandra!
