Daisy de la Hoya is a lot of things: attractive, sexy, confrontational, a loudmouth, ditsy, and a total drama queen! But when I talked to her yesterday about her new show, Daisy of Love, (Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on VH1), I asked her if she relates to Jennifer Anniston after being dumped by Brett Michaels on Rock of Love (in favor of contestant Amber Lake)—and here’s what she had to say: "I don’t think I can compare Amber to Angelina Jolie, so no. I would be the Angelina Jolie, and she (Amber) would be Jennifer Aniston!" Whatever works for you, Daisy!

Read on to find out what she has to say about her new reality show, her relationship with her tio Oscar de la Hoya, and why she wasn’t mad when one of the guys on her show got a boner during her very sexy dance on Sunday night’s premier!

Tell me, what’s it like being the star on your very own show?

It’s pretty amazing! It’s the best thing in the world! It’s a special thing when VH1 says they want you to have your own show. They don’t hand shows out to everyone, and I feel pretty honored that that happened.

How is your show different from Rock of Love?

My show is different because I call the shots, and there are 20 hot rocker guys fighting for me! There’s a lot of raw emotion and passion and realness to the situation, and I am a real person. There’s a true story that happens.

So you’re not just doing this show to be on TV—you really are looking for love?

Yes—that’s the whole point.

How would you say being on Rock of Love has changed your life?

Obviously—since it’s been over—I’ve basically been touring the country and meeting fans, and that’s my full time job. I go to photo shoots, and make appearances, and people know whom I am. Everything about my life has completely changed. I’m also getting ready to drop a new single.

Sounds exciting. Are there any drawbacks to being famous and having people recognize you?

There’s always good and bad in everything. One thing that’s sort of not awesome is the fact that people make things up about you and criticize everything you do. They talk and say things. But at the end of the day, I know who I am and that’s really all that matters. Whatever anyone says about me that’s negative, I stay away from reading it, because it’s not healthy for me. What matters to me are the people who respect me.

Are you also looking to get into acting like other reality stars have done?

Yes. Before I did Rock of Love that’s what I did. I was in a band when I was 18…. I did various roles in independent films, and commercial stuff. That’s my goal.

Are you looking to live this jet-setting, Hollywood life forever, or do you see yourself settling down and having a family and children?

If I do decide to have kids I think that would be something in the very, very far future. I want to establish myself and be young and selfish. I don’t know how to take care of a goldfish (laughs), so I can’t take care of a kid right now.

Speaking of family, are you close to your uncle Oscar de la Hoya.

No. I am not close with any of my family.

A lot of fans were disappointed with Rock of Love: Bus. What did you think of the latest season?

I didn’t watch it a whole lot, because I was busy filming my show. Times that I did watch it, I thought it was an interesting show. Being on tour, AND on a TV show is really difficult. I have to commend those girls.

Are you still feuding with any of your Rock of Love co-stars?

I really don’t have problems with anyone, because I don’t hold grudges. You could blow up my house and I’d still be your friend. I’m really easygoing.

Back to your show—were you happy or bummed when you saw the group of guys that VH1 hired to fight for you?

I was happy! I mean, I can’t say I was down for every single person. That’s life. You get 20 people and you can’t be into all 20 of them, obviously. I have an awesome, good looking great bunch of guys.

Finally, I’ve got to ask about Weasel—the guy who got a boner in Sunday’s premier. Was that weird to you that your sexy dance got him, err, excited and turned on?

I would hope he would be turned on, otherwise I don’t know why else he would be there!
