Casting Scoops: Francia Raisa Fights Hunger, Lala Guests on "CSI: NY"

On ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Adrian (Francia Raisa) is constantly being fed lies by her off-again, on-again boyfriend Ricky (Daren Kagasoff). Now, Francia is feeding someone else for a change.

According to TVGuide.com, the beautiful part-Honduran, part-Mexican actress and her SLOTAT cast members are teaming up with the youth-driven, non-profit organization DoSomething.org to help launch the “Feed the Need” campaign, which encourages young people to fight hunger in their communities. Eat that, Ricky!

As part of their work to promote this great cause, all of the show’s young cast members will lend their time and voices to a national PSA in which they encourage fellow teens to collect a million pounds of food by Dec. 15. Check out the fun video here.

All of this talk of food is making me kind of hungry. And speaking of hungry, I’m hearing that Rebecca Romijn’s character Roxie on ABC’s The Witches of Eastwick has got an insatiable appetite for Latin beefcake! On the heels of the news that Eastwick has been canceled by ABC (they will air what’s left of their original 13 episode order) comes word that the show has cast a new love interest for Rebecca’s character. Actor Matthew Del Negro, who you might remember as Brian Cammarata on The Sopranos, or Bram Howard on The West Wing, will guest star on several episodes as Roxie’s new guy, Danny Torcoletti.

And in other casting news, Puerto Rican former MTV television personality Alani "La La" Vazquez is set to guest star on the Dec. 16 episode of the CBS drama, CSI: NY, according to TVGuide.com. Vasquez will be joined by reality star Kim Kardashian and fellow MTV colleague Vanessa Minnillo, both of whom are playing women who are questioned about a murder. Lala—a NY native—told Radaronline.com she is having a fantastic time filming the episode: “I'm getting spoiled, I could do this everyday!"

In real life, Lala is also very good friends with Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian, who recently married NBA star Lamar Odom. Lala, girlfriend to NBA star Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets, told Radaronline.com that she’s helping Chloe prepare for motherhood."We have a joke that she's got to take [La La's son] Kiyan for a few days to practice. They'll be begging me to give him back!" 

Lala adds that Khloe is “happy, strong and in a great relationship. There aren't two people more perfect for each other."
