Attention: La Revolucion has finally arrived. Wisin y Yandel’s new CD dropped today and it’s already no. 1 on iTunes. The album features some interesting collabos with folks like 50 Cent (“Mujeres in the Club”), Ivy Queen (“Perfecto”) and Ednita Nazario (“Como Quieres Que Te Olivde?”), a Boricua songstress who launched her career long before the reggaetoneros were born. “It was the first time we recorded with her and for us, it was an honor,” said Wisin, who co-wrote the song with Nazario. “We’ve been able to unite the best artists from different genres,” he told primerahora.com.
Loaded with 17 club bangers, La Revolucion continues to trace the Puerto Rican duo’s evolution without straying far from the path that made them famous. “We’re addicted to the music,” said Yandel, referring to the speed in which they recorded this new effort. “It’s better than the last album.”
Judge for yourself and let me know what you think. And keep a lookout for the boys’ new video for “Abusadora,” which was filmed in the driest desert in North America, Death Valley, and should suddenly appear today, much like a mirage.
