New Video: La Quinta Estación and Marc Anthony

Marc Anthony hasn’t given us an album since the El Cantante soundtrack came out in 2007. Sure, in that time he married Jennifer Lopez and became the father of twins Max and Emme, but shouldn’t all that love fuel his creative juices? I was inspired to dust off my copy of the Puerto Rican crooner’s Sigo Siendo Yo: Grandes Exitos after hearing his duet with La Quinta Estación’s Spanish vocalist Natalia Jiménez.

The pair teamed up for “Recuérdame,” a song from the band’s latest effort “Sin Frenos,” about a tormented relationship trying to survive everything that’s tearing it apart. And seriously, Marc has such an amazing, powerful voice. You can especially appreciate its range in this type of power ballad.

Check out the new video for the single. It was filmed last month in an abandoned house In New York City and features a couple fighting while a tornado rages on in the background. Broken windows, shattered lamps, scattered leaves, forceful winds and the duo’s combined voices provide plenty of intensity.

Natalia praised Marc at a press conference a few months: “He’s an incredible singer.” And I concur. Now, when are you giving us another record, Marco Antonio?
