Monday Night Football, A Star-Studded Hispanic Heritage Celebration

The famous new minority owners of the Miami Dolphins strutted their stuff for their football team last night during a game against the New York Jets. Part owner (and pinstripe-suited) Marc Anthony sang the national anthem while his wife, Jennifer Lopez, clapped from the bleachers. Fellow stake-holder Gloria Estefan also performed in a video that preceded a half-time spectacular produced by husband Emilio Estefan in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Land Shark Stadium was filled with samba dancers, salseros, mariachis and other performers for a down-home fiesta. Even Alejandro Fernandez, a friend of the Estefans, appeared on the big scream for an extra dose of national pride. Apparently, all these stars served as good luck charms for the Dolphins, who won the game 31 to 27.
