Mexican Singer Thalia Tones it Down

Thalia looks like a full-fledged mommy in the new video for “Equivocada,” the first single from her upcoming CD/DVD Thalia en Primera Fila, out Dec. 1 on Sony. Before giving birth to her daughter, Sabrina Sakaë, two years ago, the 38-year-old Mexican pop star was more of a hot mamacita with her navel-grazing tops, shimmery outfits and bombshell coifs. But these days she’s dressing decidedly casual. In the video she dons a boxy top, khaki vest, loose-fitting jeans, well-worn sneakers, a messy pony and very little make-up for a no-nonsense look that can take her from stage to supermarket, if need be. Still, her natural beauty shines through, as do her vocal chops in this heart-felt ballad about loving someone that turns out to be the wrong person for you.
