Los Tigres Del Norte: The Next Generation

Considered The Rolling Stones of Mexico, Los Tigres Del Norte have been entertaining audiences for over 40 years. And much like they’re British counterparts, they intend to rock stages across the globe for as long as possible. Still, that doesn’t mean a couple of younger “tigers” can’t stand out in the shadow of this hit-making machine. I’m talking about the sons of singer and bass-player Hernán Hernández: 27-year-old Mexia and 19-year-old Raul.

As the musically inclined offspring of a genuine Tigre, they have a lot to live up to. Yet, the brothers, who are from San Jose, California, have decided to chart their own course. Mexia is a hip-hopper who cut his teeth battling and making mixtapes. And Raul is a vocalist, who went to Spain to study business but ended up enrolled in music school instead.

They each have an album coming out at the end of August, and we can’t wait to find out if the musical prowess extends to the younger generation.
