Heavy rain caused the cancellation of the green carpet at the Latin Grammy Awards, but it will take a little more than bad weather to keep our favorite celebs from wearing the hottest fashion trends. Although many women stuck with basic black when selecting their gowns, I was elated to see so many taking a risk and opting to incorporate some color.
Which celebrities made the top of the best-dressed list and what were the hottest trends?
Becky G might only be 16, but she's already proving to be a fashion powerhouse! The COVERGIRL rocked a hot pink dress with a sexy leg slit for the Latin Grammy Awards at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The shade of pink she chose worked perfectly with her skin tone and dark hair.
This is one of my favorite looks of the night.
Cote de Pablo selected a Grecian-inspired purple gown with a high slit and gold heels for the Latin Grammy Awards. She kept her hair loose with soft waves to compliment the free flowing spirit of her gown.
“Devious Maids” actress Judy Reyes hung up her apron and slipped on a metallic gown with a thigh high slit for the Latin Grammy Awards. Judy looked sexy and sophisticated with just the right amount of cleavage on display.
Judy’s “Devious Maids” co-star Roselyn Sanchez also made it on the best-dressed list thanks to her strapless, metallic gown. Roselyn, who served as a presenter during the telecast tonight, had the best accessory by her side: husband Eric Winter.
Genesis Rodriguez proves that the old rule of “no white after Labor Day” is a thing of the past. Genesis amped up the sexiness factor with a thigh-high slit and cut outs at the waist showing off her amazing figure.
Metallic was extremely popular tonight and Bachatera Leslie Grace sparkled in a floor-length, sparkly gown. Leslie kept her accessories to a minimum so as not to take away from the focus– her dress. During her performance, Leslie had an outfit change that also was breathtaking.
Ana Patricia added to the glitz and glamour of the night with a low cut gown and compact clutch. She earns extra marks for her slick back hair that allowed her unique earrings to perfectly be displayed.
The women weren’t the only ones showing their love of fashion. Ricky Martin wore a tuxedo with tail and a colorful bowtie ahead of his performance with Draco Rosa and Miguel Bose. The detail I love the best was his side swept, lightly gelled hair.
Fito Blanko set the bar high for the men of the Latin Grammy Awards. In a black and white tuxedo, Blanko proves that trends can work similarly for both men and women.
Much like Blanko, Tommy Torres also wore the hottest trend of the night: metallic. Torres showed off his unique style in an all black ensemble, adding a hint of glam with the jacket.
