RaqC’s World: Knowing Your Limits in all Types of Settings

Hello gente bella!

It’s your girl Raq-C and I’m back to give you advice and tips on everything you need to know on how to be a FABULOUS modern day Latina. In my weekly blog, I will be touching on a little bit of everything from relationships, hot topics, health, spirituality, career and anything in between.

Remember that part of being fabulous is keeping it classy at all times! I’ve seen this happen far too many times: girls go to clubs or parties and before you know it they are a HOT MESS because they’ve had one too many drinks. Don’t get me wrong, having a drink or two when you are of legal age is ok, but it’s in knowing when to stop that most of us have troubles. This is why I am encouraging you to take a personal inventory and ask yourself: what are my limits?

You know you’ve had too much to drink when you can’t remember where you put your purse, when everyone you see makes you break into tears, when you find yourself telling random people how much you love them, or when you take off your shoes because you believe it’s your shoes fault that you can’t walk straight.

I want you to keep in mind that women process alcohol differently than men do. Heavy drinking in women increases the risk of mouth cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, depression, hypertensive disease, stroke, and cirrhosis of the liver.

Self-control and knowing your limits in any situation is key to being fabulous. I always like to feel like I am in control of my own being and of my own thoughts; it’s definitely a good feeling to have.

So ladies, the last thing I want is for you to make a fool out of yourself the next time you are in a social setting, out on a date or at an important business meeting. Know your limits. This is all a part of knowing who you are. Don’t feel pressured in anyway to cross the limits you’ve set for yourself. Learn to say “no thank you” and keep it moving. Remember the motto: KEEP IT CLASSY, indeed!

I hope my tips and advice helped you out and remember if you have any comments or questions for me drop a comment below & follow me on Twitter: @RaqC and Instagram: RadioRaqC.

Until we meet again, Salud!
