RAQ-C’s World: My Healthy Snack Tips

Thank you for joining me another week to read my blog, “RAQ-C’s World,” where I share with you all my tips on how to be a fabulous modern day Latina from the inside out. I like to touch on all subjects, from relationships to hot topics, fashion, health, spirituality, and career.

Today I wanted to touch on healthy snacking. I always get the question, “how do you stay in shape?” Many people think I spend hours and hour in the gym and believe me I wish I could but with my schedule that is not quite possible.

What I am good at though is healthy snacking. I sometimes remind myself of my great-grandmother because this woman always had snacks in her bag. They weren’t the healthiest snacks, but they always saved the day.

You can’t go wrong carrying an apple, orange or a quick healthy enery bar with you. It’s very important to listen to your body when it’s hungry.

My trainer, Joq always tells me food is fuel therefore we must put good stuff into your body.

When you eat bad, you feel bad. So I wanted to recommend a few healthy snacks for you and these will come in handy especially when you have a busy lifestyle like me. My tip to you is always try to pack your own lunch and healthy snacks TO GO… they will save the day!

My Snacking ideas:

5oz greek yogurt with 1 cup berries, (157 calories, 0g fat)

1 large hard boiled egg sprinkled with sea salt & paprika (80 calories, 5g fat)

½ cantaloupe with ½ cup scoop of low fat cottage cheese (156 calories, 1g fat)
