Thank you for joining me another week to read my blog where I share with you all my tips on how to be a fabulous modern day Latina from the inside out. I like to touch on it all from relationships, hot topics, fashion, health, spirituality, career and anything in between.
I read this the other day and I really loved it because this is the way I live my life.
“It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself & to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary.”
I know to many people that don’t prioritize themselves in turn resulting in poor health or being emotionally drained. Here are 3 things that help me prioritize my well being all around. Remember like the saying says, “if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy!”
Taking care of yourself and being true to YOU is the key to a long life.
Eat right: Putting the right nutrients into your body is key. They say "you are what you eat." When you don’t eat the right stuff it will reflect in the way you feel so eat right. Your body is a temple always remember that.
Sleep: Sleep is such an important factor to being able to function properly. Sleep is essential for a person’s health and wellbeing, according to the National Sleep Foundation. At least 40 million Americans suffer from over 70 different sleep disorders. On average at least 8 hours of sleep are needed a night. So if you are lacking in this department then you need to get on it and change this habit.
Medidate: I have truly discovered the power and magic of meditation through yoga. Kundalini yoga has awakened a whole other side of me I didn’t know existed. It allows me to spend time with myself and my core being and really release what is not needed, focusing on the good and all the possibilities that exist. For many it's difficult to quiet down the mind, but it is crucial to learn how to do this.
