Although I don't initially follow most fitness trends, I actually recommend juicing to my clients. It's a great way to get your recommended daily allowance of fruit and vegetables in just one 12 oz. cup.
Start your morning with this juice as a breakfast replacement, or use it as a snack during the day to replace an unhealthy option. Read below for one of my favorite recipes:
What You Need: A juicer. Don't have one? Simply head to your local juice bar, and instruct them on which vegetables and fruits you want.
1 medium beet
1 small carrot
1/2 green apple
2 stalks celery
1 cup kale
1/2 inch ginger
Directions: Mix up the vegetables and fruit until smooth. Enjoy!
What are some of the benefits of this particular juice? The ingredients can improve circulation, help your immune system, keep your vision healthy, aid in digestion, and clease your liver and blood.
Plus, beets have a number of positive health benefits. They cleanse the blood and the colon, and strengthen the gallbladder and liver. Additionally, the high iron content in beets regenerates and reactivates the red blood cells, and supplies fresh oxygen to the body. Plus, their copper content makes the iron more available to the body. They're a great blood builder!
Don't worry about the ingredients — this recipe packs a sweet punch! Try it, and enjoy.
